Who for: All women are encouraged to access its services.
Age Group: 16 + (most services are for over 16’s); Will not turn anyone away and will signpost younger people to other services.

Service Description: The centre provides a women-only space and aims to support women to make informed choices and have control in their lives. There is a free crèche for women who are using the services. There are two ADHD support groups for women and a lesbian and bisexual support group which run from the centre. In addition, there is a domestic violence abuse action group which allows women to share their experiences in confidence and also aims to empower them, increase their confidence and help them access support. At weekly drop-ins, women are able to visit the centre, speak with centre workers and obtain information including: legal advice, housing aid. Support is provided for carers. A counseling service runs from the centre. The nature of counseling offered varies according to individual need, (e.g. short/long term, individual/group). A range of courses, activities and workshops are offered at the centre covering many interests: e.g. personal development, health issues, drama, complimentary therapies, arts and crafts, yoga, I.T., body conditioning and stress management. A job club helps women who wish to return to work and can provide access to computers.

Opening Times: Weekly drop-in: 12pm-2pm: W; late night drop-in: 1st Thurs of the month: 7pm-9.30pm Job Club: 9.45am-12pm: F, Domestic Abuse action group: 12pm-2pm: W lunchtime.
Cost: Some fees for courses and workshops, (may have some reduced fees); most activities supported by free of charge creche.
Access: To book the crèche, ring the above number. For legal advice, individuals can make an appointment with a solicitor. For counseling, (by appointment only), ring the main number and ask to speak with Theresa or Carole.

Languages spoken other than English/Access to Interpreters: Can access interpreters; women should ring to contact them in advance.

Disabled Facilities/Access: Building is wheelchair accessible but do not have disabled parking.
